What an incredible year 2022 turned out to be! After a 2-year hiatus, we were delighted to bring the Good Food & Wine Shows back to our loyal foodies in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane. We can’t say it better than Adam Walls from Wine Selectors described, “to me, life’s two passions are great food and great wine, and the Good Food & Wine Show brings it all together in one big energetic burst of excitement.”

With nearly 1000 producers and partners across our Shows, 2022 was a huge success! We’ve had such a great year and want to thank everyone that joined us at the Shows and share our 2022 highlights.

Winners are grinners
We don’t want to boast, but the Good Food & Wine Show Team are feeling very chuffed after the Exhibition & Events Association of Australia (EEAA) awards for excellence ceremony on 7 December. We walked away with not one, but two prestigious awards! The Good Food & Wine Show Sydney took home the 2022 Best Consumer Show and our team was recognised with the 2022 Best Show Team award.
The EEAA awards ceremony celebrates the best in the events industry and we are on cloud nine after being recognised in two major categories.

New faces, new features and new fun experiences at the Good Food & Wine Shows

Across the four states, we welcomed back familiar faces to The Kitchen by Harris Scarfe line-up with Miguel Maestre, Justine Schofield, Matt Moran, Sammy Jakubiak and Brendan Pang. And introduced some new faces to the Good Food & Wine Show family with Adam Liaw, Analiese Gregory, Silvia Colloca and George Calombaris. Focused on everyday cooking inspiration, the sessions in The Kitchen were second-to-none and left visitors wanting a taste! We would tell you who’s joining the line-up in 2023 but we don’t want to ruin the surprise! You’ll just have to wait and see…

The Wine Selectors Tasting Rooms were a new addition to all four Shows with a brand-new format with four different themed rooms. Visitors got to taste their way through four wine tastings perfectly matched with food pairings whilst enjoying some great conversations with wine experts. If you didn’t have a chance to join one of these interactive masterclasses, don’t worry! They will be back again for 2023 with another full program of deliciousness.

The Korean Cultural Centre offered a deep dive into Korean cuisine with their selection of Korean food masterclasses at the Sydney Show with sessions focusing on making your own Kimchi, Korean Pancakes and fermenting your own Kimchi.

Mayers Fine Food hosted delicious morning and afternoon teas in their English Garden celebrating the best of British cheeses and teas in Melbourne and Sydney.

Brisbane Visitors jumped on board the Brisbane Distillery double decker bus to join a brand new Spirits Adventure masterclass, tasting their way through Brisbane Distillery’s range of spirits.

Launch of the brand-new Good Food & Wine Show Christmas Market
Just when we thought 2022 couldn’t have been better, we launched a brand-new event, the Good Food & Wine Show Christmas Market! Taking place at the Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne, we welcomed over 100 local producers, distillers and wineries for a weekend of festive fun. With Christmas feast inspiration in the Festive Kitchen and interactive wine masterclasses in the Wine Selectors Secret Sips Sessions, there was no shortage of festive entertainment and foodie bites for visitors. If you missed it this year, we are excited to announce that the Christmas Market will be launching in Sydney too in 2023.
