The story of Schubert Estate begins in 1915, when the Schubert family settled in the Barossa Valley and established their Roennfeldt Road homestead. Their vineyards quickly gained recognition for producing fruit of exceptional quality and intensity.
In 2000, a single barrel marked a new chapter, the beginning of Schubert Estate wines, symbolised by the goose, representing courage, strength, and the family’s pioneering spirit.
Today, winemaker Matt Reynolds brings over 20 years of experience to crafting wines that reflect the character of the Barossa, particularly the Marananga sub-region. His focus is on expressing each vineyard’s unique terroir while embracing sustainable practices, including certification with Sustainable Winegrowing Australia.
This is a story of exploration, craftsmanship, and a pursuit of world-class wine, shaped by history, guided by place, and built for the future.
