Negin Yaghmaie is a Sydney-based baker and cake artist, and a semi-finalist on the most recent season of The Great Australian Bake Off. She went on to found Kaako Bake Studio, where her love of flavour, creativity and edible art come together.
Negin’s baking journey grew out of community, with baking becoming her way of showing love and bringing joy to friends. Inspired by nature and other art forms, she enjoys exploring unexpected ideas and stepping beyond trends and conventions. Through colour, texture and edible art, she brings her bakes to life, celebrating the beauty and individuality of handmade creations.
Through “the biscuit wreath decoration session“, Negin hopes to inspire little bakers to let their imaginations run wild, experiment with colour and creativity, and discover the joy of making something both delicious and magical.
Outside the kitchen, Negin works as an MRI scientist, with a passion for improving patient care through advances in medical imaging. When she’s not working or the kitchen, you’ll likely find her at the gym, reading a legal thriller, or out for a beach walk in search of a good pastry.
