From season 8 of The Great Australian Bake Off, Sydney-based baker Anirban Chanda brings together the flavours of his Indian heritage with contemporary baking and a love of Australian native ingredients.
The founder of Another Whisk (anotherwhisk.com), Anirban creates cakes, pastries and desserts that explore the unexpected ways spices, texture and aroma can work together. His approach to baking is as much about understanding flavour as it is about following a recipe, from the way a spice is tempered to how acidity, sweetness and texture can transform a dish.
After stepping out of the Bake Off shed, Anirban has continued to grow Another Whisk into a Sydney-based baking business, while sharing his passion for flavour, technique and the stories behind the food he creates.
