Vanessa Furci is the creator behind The Modern Day Nonna, a Melbourne-based food platform celebrating Italian food, family, tradition and the joy of bringing people together around the table.
Runner up on The Great Australian Bake Off Season 8, Vanessa captured audiences with her warmth, creativity and love of baking, drawing inspiration from her Italian heritage and the recipes and traditions passed down through generations of her family.
Since her time in the Bake Off shed, Vanessa has continued to share her passion for food through The Modern Day Nonna, cooking demonstrations, events and collaborations. Her approach is all about taking old-world flavours and traditions and bringing them to the modern table in a way that feels approachable, fun and achievable.
