The Good Food & Wine Show team is dedicated to championing sustainability and actively seeking ways to minimise our carbon footprint. We are committed to delivering not only educational, inspiring, and entertaining food & wine experiences but also ensuring that these experiences do not come at the expense of our planet.

With forecasting anticipating the events industry to grow up to $1,552.9 billion by 2028*, and the Good Food & Wine Show visitation returning to larger than pre-covid numbers as of 2023, the events industry is showing no signs of slowing down. Reduce, re-use, recycle needs to be at the forefront of all decision making to ensure we can continue bringing people together through shared experiences, food and wine, for a long time to come.

Sustainable development has long been a focus for the events industry and the principles are now firmly imbedded within our practices*, which is why we have decided to collaborate with Net Zero Carbon Events to further grow this initiative in the events industry. You can find our company name “Talk2 Media & Events” listed among other sustainably committed signatories on their website.

In 2024, we are expanding our commitment to sustainability, by supporting organisations like Carbon Positive Australia and forming partnerships with like-minded businesses to further reduce our environmental footprint. Here are some specific examples of how we uphold this commitment:

OZHARVEST X GFWS

OzHarvest is a not-for-profit organisation that feeds hungry people and prevents good food going to waste through food rescue operation and food relief services. The Good Food and Wine Show work with OzHarvest across all states donating excess consumable products at the end of each show – reducing food waste whilst helping those in need. Learn more about OzHarvest here.

CARBON POSTIVE X GFWS PERTH

The Good Food and Wine Show Perth is proud to announce our partnership with Carbon Positive Australia. Carbon Positive Australia are an eco-friendly charity with a native tree planting & restoration project concept. Every donation received goes towards planting trees all around Australia. This year, you can be a part of their tree-planting efforts when you purchase a ticket to the Good Food and Wine Show Perth. Simply opt-In at checkout to plant a tree and help restore Australia. ACCOR HOTEL GROUP X GFWS

The Good Food & Wine Show partner with Accor Hotels as they are strong believers in sustainability – you can read their Sustainability Strategy here. As a large percentage of our exhibitors travel to attend our show, it is imperative we encourage exhibitors to stay at hotels that drive change. To incentivise the stay, Accor provide our exhibitors with a discount code.
