#JoyfulFood advocate. Kitchen Hack Queen. TV Presenter, Food Writer & Journalist. Public Speaker & MC. Storyteller.
Jane de Graaff loves everything about her life with food, encouraging people to play with their food and get in elbow deep and give it a go. She encourages people to embrace the idea that all food can be good food, no matter how simple.
As a TV presenter, journalist, podcaster and recipe developer specialising in food stories, Jane looks to make good food accessible to everyone and put the fun back into cooking and eating.
She is a food journalist and presenter with over a decade of food storytelling experience. She regularly presents live food and cooking segments on Channel Nine’s Today, Today Extra, A Current Affair and 9Honey, and writing food, lifestyle and news features for nine.com.au and representing 9Honey online and through TV segments.
In 2016, Jane was appointed Food Editor for nine.com.au. She has written for many well-loved publications, including The Herald Sun, The Sydney Morning Herald food and coffee guides and Cheap Eats. She was senior food writer and contributor to Broadsheet Melbourne and Sydney, first on the ground when new cafes and restaurants opened their doors, interviewing chefs and writing copy for the first Broadsheet Cookbook.
In 2018 she hosted the 52-episode weekly podcast series ‘What the F is For Dinner’, interviewing Australia’s best chefs and food personalities. As a food realist, not an elitist, her passion for sharing food stories has led her to MC and host many food events, including Sydney Good Food Month events.
She has always loved storytelling and food, so the day she discovered she could combine the two into the art of telling food stories was when the world around her exploded with possibilities. If she had one piece of wisdom to share, it would be “life is short, eating the f*&#ing cake!”
