Melbourne-based baker, new dad and Great Australian Bake Off Season 9 contestant, Branden Khou brings together his love of baking, creativity and Cambodian heritage in everything he creates.
The baker behind Branden.Bakes on Instagram, Branden is known for bespoke cakes and desserts that celebrate bold flavours, intricate details and his love of modern patisserie. His baking is often inspired by the places, people and cultures that have shaped him — with his Cambodian heritage providing a constant source of inspiration.
Outside of the kitchen, Branden is a proud dog dad to Hennessy and recently welcomed his first child, Layla, with his fiancé Melanie. Family and connection sit at the heart of Branden’s baking journey, with food being his way of bringing people together and creating memorable moments.
Following his journey on The Great Australian Bake Off, Branden is excited to take his passion beyond the Bake Off tent and onto the Good Food & Wine Show Christmas Cooking School stage in Melbourne.
Hosting two interactive, follow-along classes, Branden will share his techniques, creativity and love of flavour in a fun and approachable festive baking experience — inviting guests to bake alongside him and discover a little taste of his story along the way.
