Lisa’s wine instincts are distilled from her family’s four generations of wine making in Australia’s Hunter Valley. However, true to her rebellious spirit, McGuigan curates her ranges unencumbered by geography, choosing the varietals she loves from the most reliable and renowned terroir all over Australia to give the brand its iconic quality.
The quality of the wines themselves is another triumph of Lisa’s intuitive design process and collaborative approach to business. They also happen to be considered the shining stars of the new guard of Australian winemaking.
All the wines are made or finished off at a shared winery in the Hunter Valley, Lisa’s home region.
WEERONA is a family-owned, boutique winemaker in the Hunter Valley. We create small batch wines from single vineyards, to express grape variety’s unique flavours and to delivery exceptional joy.
The founder, Michael Partridge is a wine educator, award-winning sommelier and a winemaker. He raised two wine labels including: WEERONA, the premium range with long ageing potential to celebrate the moments in life. Partridge Wines, an easy drinking, food-friendly range that inspired by the Christmas carol: Partridge on a Pear Tree, to surprise your palate with distinct characters.

Tamburlaine took the first steps towards organic certification in its Hunter Valley vineyard in 2002. After years of research and development, Tamburlaine now owns and contracts close to 450 ha of vines between Orange and the Hunter. Organic farming is key to soil health. Vineyards are not degraded through the constant application of non-biodegradable inputs, retaining natural health and providing longer-term sustainability. To become certified organic, Tamburlaine had to go through a three-year conversion period before receiving certified organic status. Since, certification has been extended to all farms. Tamburlaine’s Contemporary Organic philosophy aims to produce wines of terroir while limiting environmental pollution and leaving the land in the best condition possible.
Family Owned, Family Operated.
Making great wine since 1984.
Pikes Wines was first established in 1984 by brothers Andrew and Neil Pike, and continues to be family owned and operated to this day. The Pikes Estate is comprised of approximately 100 hectares of rolling slopes in Polish Hill River, an eastern sub-region of the Clare Valley.
Whilst they are best known for Riesling, they have been growing Shiraz and Cabernet for 35 years and have 20 different grape varieties planted on their estate, producing a wide range of wine styles to suit all tastes.
Our vineyard lives on the edge of the Margaret River Plateau and the Leeuwin Naturaliste Ridge. Adjacent yet contrasting, these landforms share the ancient and impermeable Leeuwin Block granite basement rock, which defines water flows in the limestone ridge caves and the plateau’s deep gravel soils. These water flows are essential to forming the crystalline, waterfall-like formations of the caves, flowstones, and the sustainability of the vines in the plateau soils.
In the unseen scenery of the limestone cave and the vineyard landscape, the creations of flowstone and wine share simplicity of physical expression, a hidden complexity in the process, and are unique to place.
