Red Gum BBQ

Born from a love of Southern-style BBQ, Red Gum BBQ began when Martin discovered authentic American barbecue during travels through the southern states. That passion led him to leave his career and pursue life as a Pitmaster, bringing true Southern BBQ to Australia.

In 2013, Red Gum BBQ was founded, starting with markets, festivals, and pop-ups across Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula. By 2017, the team found a permanent home in Red Hill, transforming an old workshop into a much-loved destination built with the help of friends, family, and community.

Today, Red Gum BBQ continues to honour its roots, proudly operating as Australia’s first B Corp restaurant, with a focus on authenticity, community, and exceptional BBQ.
