Snake + Herring
Snake and Herring is a wine obsessed road trip searching for remarkable grapes from Western Australian vineyards.
Founded in 2011 by two wine industry junkies, Redmond “Herring” Sweeny and Tony “Snake” Davis, we view the South West of WA as a viticultural treasure map, with vineyard jewels scattered throughout. Our fruit is sourced from Western Australia’s premium sites without regional restraint. We work with diligent and passionate grape growers who share our love of beautiful wine and sustainable practices.
Consistently rated five red stars in the Halliday Wine Companion, our wines have found their way in to some of the finest restaurants in the country, including our own, Yarri Restaurant + Bar.
In 2018, in partnership with renowned chef Aaron Carr, we opened Yarri Restaurant + Bar. Yarri honours nature, seasonality, and our region – the people, produce and place and provides a home for our wines to be showcased in the heart of our Dunsborough community, alongside Aaron’s award-winning fare.
In 2019 Snake + Herring wines received gold medals at the Royal Melbourne, WA and Margaret River Wine Shows, as well as ‘Best in Region’ at the prestigious Halliday Chardonnay Challenge.
