This year we’re thrilled to announce that the Maggie Beer Foundation is our chosen charity partner.
We’re holding an online auction to raise money for the Foundation this year with some phenomenal items to bid on available from a weekend away in the Barossa Valley, dinner at a Matt Moran restaurant, an ILVE wine fridge a Riedel wine-glass set and many more. All monies raised go to the Maggie Beer Foundation.
Established in 2014, the Maggie Beer Foundation is guided by the belief that, with help from so many committed people we can bring about life-altering change to the wellbeing of the elderly by having access to food full of flavour and nutrients. It should be everyone’s right to have good food and the Foundation believe that no one group of people need it more. The Maggie Beer Foundation sees a future where education, advocacy, research and community combine to overcome these challenges so that every resident can enjoy fresh and desirable meals and a better quality of life.
All donations made will be put towards the Maggie Beer Foundation’s seven-point plan; Education, Advocacy, Research, Information dissemination, Support community (initiated) programs, Awards for Excellence and Food Chain.
We’ll be holding an online auction to raise money for the Foundation this year with some phenomenal prizes available from signed recipe books, a chance to visit Maggie’s home in the Barossa and numerous prizes where you can meet your favourite chef at their restaurant! More details to follow!
“There is so much to be done for those in aged care who are not lucky enough to be in a wonderful environment. What I want to do is to find all the great exponents of aged care, so we can celebrate them with the acknowledgement they deserve from a food interested group; the Foundation.” Maggie Beer.
