Jane de Graaff has built a career around sharing her love of food and encouraging people to get in the kitchen, get their hands dirty and give it a go. A firm believer that all food can be good food, no matter how simple, Jane is passionate about making cooking fun, accessible and something everyone can enjoy.

A TV presenter, journalist, podcaster and recipe developer, Jane specialises in telling food stories that connect people to what’s on their plate. With more than a decade of experience in food media, she regularly presents live cooking and food segments across the Nine Network, appearing on Today, Today Extra, A Current Affair and 9Honey, while also writing food, lifestyle and news features for nine.com.au.

In 2016, Jane was appointed Food Editor for Nine. Throughout her career she has written for many well-loved publications including The Herald Sun, The Sydney Morning Herald food and coffee guides and Cheap Eats, and was a senior food writer for Broadsheet Melbourne and Broadsheet Sydney, where she interviewed chefs and contributed to the first Broadsheet Cookbook.

Jane has also hosted the 52-episode podcast series What the F is For Dinner, interviewing some of Australia’s best chefs and food personalities. A proud “food realist, not an elitist”, she regularly hosts and MCs major food events and believes food should always be joyful, shared and a little bit playful. Her philosophy is simple: life is short, so eat the cake.
