Serves 4
Ingredients
1kg of beef short ribs with bones, 5cm long
Marinade for beef
⅔ cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons corn syrup
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons rice wine
1 cup water
Optional items to include in marinade
½ onion (3½ oz, 100g)
½ pear(3½ oz, 100g)
½ apple (3 oz, 90g)
5 cloves garlic
1 ginger finger
Method
Choose tender meat if possible. Remove any fat or silver skin. Slice the beef into ¼-inch (0.6-cm) thick slices and score meat to make them tender.
Grind the optional ingredients for marinade (onion, pear, apple, garlic, ginger) in the blender.
In a saucepan, put the ingredients for marinade and boil them on medium heat until sugar melts. Let it stand to cool and mix the optional pureed ingredients for marinade.
Marinate the beef for 1 hour.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and grill the ribs for 2-3 minutes on each side.
The ribs can be grilled over charcoal, pan-fried or broiled in the oven.
*The seasoning can also be used for LA Galbi, Pork Galbi, pork meat, duck meat, and chicken.
