Curtis Stone is a Michelin star chef, restaurateur, author and media personality. His cooking career began in Melbourne, Australia and he later perfected his skills at Michelin-star restaurants in London under renowned chef Marco Pierre White. He now calls Los Angeles, California home.
It was there he opened his first solo restaurant, Maude, in 2014 to exceptional reviews. He opened his most recent restaurant, Gwen Butcher Shop & Restaurant, in Hollywood in 2016 with his brother Luke. He has recently partnered with iconic cruise line, Princess Cruises, to open a six-course fine dining experience-at-sea, described by Cruise Critic as ‘Cruise cuisine, redefined.’ His restaurants have been honored with top accolades in the US including Restaurant of the Year, Best New Restaurant, Best Restaurant and Most Beautiful Restaurant in the Country. While Curtis himself was crowned Chef of The Year in 2016 by Eater LA and received the first ever Excellence in the Culinary Arts Award from the Australian Government.
With the success of his restaurants and growing demand for customised culinary experiences, Curtis launched his events-focused business Curtis Stone Events in 2018. Designing and tailoring personalised occasions while upholding the standard of his renowned restaurants, this new full-service company aims to raise the bar within the live events industry.
Curtis has appeared on a number of top-rated programs including Master Chef Australia, My Kitchen Rules, Take Home Chef , Top Chef Masters and the Emmy-nominated Top Chef Junior, an extension of the NBC Top Chef franchise.
Inspired by his desire to uncover international wines for his menu at Maude, Field Trip with Curtis Stone will debut on US-based network PBS later in 2019. Curtis is a New York Times bestselling author with six cookbooks, his most recent titled, Good Food, Good Life, and is a regular contributor to several magazines and television shows in Australia and the USA.
In 2016, Curtis began a new pledge to give back: #Commit2One, wherein each year he partners with a charity and devotes the majority of his time and resources to the cause. As part of this initiative, he has raised funds and awareness for The National Young Farmer’s Coalition, Chrysalis, AdoptTogether, and his current charity, Share Our Strength, which aims to end childhood hunger. Curtis is married to actress Lindsay Price and the couple live in Los Angeles with their two sons.
