Pāli is a social enterprise that economically empowers artisans in rural villages in Myanmar, where development opportunities have been limited due to social and political restrictions. In awe of the Burmese people and their traditional weaving methods, mother-daughter duo Cass and Maggie’s collaboration began.

The Pāli girls have since been working closely with their local guide and interpreter, who has enabled them to interact and trade directly and ethically with the villagers to bring their craft to the world. Baskets are made from new pallet strapping made from recycled plastics, originally collected from streets, gutters and beaches by locals in Myanmar. Baskets are strong, durable and waterproof, each individually handwoven with kaleidoscopes of colour.
